In 2004 Dramedy was the first in the country to produce and present a TV series based on an adaptation of a scripted format. The long-running TV series Redakce (format licensed from the Spanish company Globomedia) was the first series from an independent producer to be commissioned by the major private broadcaster TV NOVA (a CME station). Redakce, which aired with a 40% audience share, started a boom in locally-produced fiction on the Czech commercial channels.

In 2006-2007 Dramedy produced the prime-time long-running TV series Horakovi, which started a relationship with public broadcaster Ceska Televize (Czech Television). Dramedy has been producing the original, in-house developed retro series Vypravej since 2008. This series follows the lives of an ordinary Czech family from the mid 1960s to the present day. Vypravej almost doubled the audience share of its timeslot on Ceska Televize and was ed TyTy Series of the Year 2009 and 2010.

Dramedy has a unique position in understanding the Czech market as well as access to the key financiers of fiction in the territory. Our production team combines people with strong local as well as international production experience, thus allows us to achieve high-production values in the most efficient way. With its first productions Dramedy managed to break the rules and delivered its key commercial successes with less than half of the average budgets in the territory. Dramedy team members have also solid experience with international co-productions and finance.
